When the Blazer was new to me I parked on a hill, left it in gear and used the emergency break too. Crazy high wind gusts that day eventually rocked the truck enough to knock it out of gear, rolled slowly down the hill and put a small dent in another cars hatchback across the parking lot:rofl: :hair:. That is when I learned how to tighten the emergency break line:picard:

I've never ever heard of that happening in any automatic.

    I guess I have now.

When I worked for the DNR last summer, would always. always put a rock or block of wood under the wheels when I was at boat launches.

I went to college in Florida, and one day the director of the campus's own little marina did more or less that with a brand new truck. Not head-in, though. There were a lot of averted glances and furtive whispering.

Wasn't that the Muncie "rock crusher" tranny? I had a buddy in college that had an early 80s Chevy full-size truck that had that tranny. I remember driving it once to drop off my new snowmobile at the time. It was basically a farm implement. But I bet it's still running.
