Exactly, lean = Hot. Straight gasses = properly fueled with no lubrication.

Straight gassed would actually be more. rich without the oil to take up that miniscule percentage of mix.

"Lean" does typically refer to the fuel/air mixture but even the oil companies refer to less oil in the mix as a "lean mix". Either way, the plug may show something.

    SABERĀ® Professional Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil

One Oil Covers All Mix Ratios

Designed for pre-mix applications as lean as 100:1 ratios or richer. Improves throttle response and lowers or eliminates smoke. Minimizes deposit formation and lowers emissions. Performance emphasis on hand-held power equipment such as chainsaws and lawn/utility equipment.

based on how I have seen auto oilers work on equipment, I would say 40:1 is even oil rich. if any of you are familiar with old Yamaha golf cart with oil injection, the oil reserve is less than a quart, fuel is 5 gallons, you can fill the fuel 100 times and never add oil, never seen one seize. I knew a few mechanics that would joke about it, who serviced golf courses, they could never remember having to add oil. The Yamaha I have now, I have had since 1990, 1987 model, and can only remember adding oil once.

Many oil injected two-strokes are variable ratio too. Oiling heavy under full throttle and not so much at part-throttle to idle.

Well drained the fuel and then remixed fuel at 40:1. She ran like a champ started right up and ate through some food. Thanks for the help and comforting me in my time of despair:yes:.

Very happy it is not burnt up. Your experience made me double check my cans. Lol. Even though I use completely different cans for each.
