Boys are inside playing video games. My girl was more than happy to help cut a little wood. She runs the house pretty much
With a helper like that I'd try to cut some every day! A real winner you have there. Nice wood too. What is not understandable with this picture though is why she does not have a Carhartt coat on. After all, this is February! Wish we could do that.
My girl is always ready to come watch me cut/split and help stack. She is out there twice as much as her older brother!
Yup! Atta girl. Only help I've got most days is my youngest. Hurricane Audrey, and at 11 she's all over a pile of firewood while the boy's are playing video games and complaining about the thought of work. You've done well with her, sir, and because of what you've taught her she likely always will run whatever house she's in. Kudos.
I like to see the kids involved. It gives them skills to draw on later and an appreciation for what it takes to get things done. My youngest, also a girl, spent one summer in high school installing car alarms and stereos as her summer job because she had learned how to use tools by working with dad on various projects. Now she is a small business owner in her own right.
Funny you bring that up. I met a woman no more then 35 years old in my restaurant about two hours ago, she was on dinner break from the 109th Airlift Wing base. We got to talking and she moved here from Rhode Island. She can't weigh more then 110 lbs. soaking wet and she is a pilot of a C-130 Cargo plane. Thursday nights is when they do training for landings and take offs.
rebelduckman that is not good that the borer is there now but make use of the wood. It will last a long time which is one of the best things about ash. I see you have a little poison ivy there too.
