In addition to be a hoarder with extreme addiction, I am also techno-UN-savvy to a great extent. The synapses just don't seem to make contact all the time...but then I WAS a teenager back in the '60's....ANYWAY, most of my pics go into one of the aforementioned off-site photo hosters because there's only so much room on this little Chromebook. Soooooooo, would one (or more) of you more savvy than myself try to walk me through a simple (?) procedure for posting from one of those sites via Chromebook? For instance, when I poke the 'Upload a File' hotdog down at the bottom, it automatically takes me to whatever I have slid into the USB port....I can't seem to find a way to the permanent hosters. Thanks, and....they say patience IS a virtue, but unfortunately I DO have a big hammer close by.....
I use photobucket. I always just upload to them via my phone because it's the only camera I own. They have an app for such things. To get a photobucket image to this site from your library, go to photobucket, click on my library, pick the photo you want to post, click it, look at the top of the image, there will be icons. You want the one that looks like log chain..."links"...funny huh? Click on the log chain and it will open a separate window with four choices of links. To post here, copy the very bottom link. Come back to your window with FHC open and "paste" right into your post. All done! When I click the "upload a file" icon below I get a "choose file" window that pops up. Not sure why its directing you to your USB port.
Ok, sounds easy enough, so I'll have a go at it. Thank you sir. I followed the steps you allowed and hopefully here it is. I can't see it until the 'Post Reply' hotdog is poked. But I do see URL stuff... This is a chunk of cedar I just sawed a few months ago. IIRC, it's making 11 1/2" board in this pass. I may even start a thread on this mill project soon. I never even noticed the chain link up top before !!!! ...and once again, thank you sir... Just a warning : you may have created a monster.
