    Dang, I'm right in the of the center of the "significant icing" forecast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good thing I double checked the generator for the last storm.

    Been snowing here off and on most of the day. I'm just hoping we don't lose power from the predicted ice. No generator but we definitely won't get cold if we do. ;)

    Today we got:

    8 am- 8°F first snow band ended by 830
    10 am-12°F snow started, looked like fiberglass, strange
    6:30 snow ended- 3" total switched over to sleet, temp around 21°F
    7:00 pm, freezing rain and drizzle, some heavier stuff, freezing to all surfaces.
    Current 8:50 freezing drizzle 25°F temps rising......

    We have a nice layer of ice on everything this morning.

    The smaller dogs were slippin' and slidin' all over the place. The big dogs (80lbs) would take a step or two and fall through. Rather amusing first thing in the morning. :)

    What a mess. Ice, snow. Once that has finished, temps are predicted to climb over 50, then pounding rains with winds 50-60 mph. Even thunder! I had an appointment from 6 to 7 this pm, but I think I'll pass. This winter is so odd.

    We lost power at around 3am, good opportunity to reload the stove. Power was restored rather quickly in about 2 hours. Ice accumulation was close to a quarter inch in my guess and we finally got above freezing around 630ish. Temps continue to rise with some strong winds expected later. Be safe all!

    I think they have shut down most schools in state. Im with daughter, wife got called in to work... I asked you want me drive you in.. she said no I got Subaru with studded snows I am GOOD! my boss called and said schools closed take day if emergency I will call you.. Good guy!

    Now ice pellets coming down! No smoke show and you pellet pigs. They won't burn!
