So as the title says. What bars would you like to see available from Total in the future?

Current offering in the Light and Tough are as follows
    Stihl mount 20, 24, 28" 3/8 .050
    Large Husky 20, 24, 28" 3/8 .050

I have 20" 3/8 .050 small husky ordered and they will be here in May sometime.

Total Super Bars are available in a fairly large selection but leaves some holes that i would like to see filled.

What do you all think needs added to the lineup? What should i order or request them to start stocking?

I posted this earlier on AS and OPE. This is the responses i got condensed into an easy to see format. What do you think and anything to add?

    K041 light and tough
    .325 .050
    16"

    K095 light and tough
    .325 .050
    16"
    18"

    K095 light and tough
    3/8 .050
    16"
    18"
    24"

K095 24" is at the top of my list as i already have a few interested in them but 4 bars out of 50 doesnt quite get me to the point that i an going to jump into buying them.

What about 063 gauge? Stihl .325 chain only comes in 063, and it would be nice on the longer bars also if you wanted to convert the tip to 404.

I also had a question for someone who knows the complete catalog.. What is the longest lightweight bar that total or Tsumura make? Is there anything longer than 36"?

I find it challenging to even figure out what your current lineup is by looking at your site. I don't know the Total/Tsumura mount pattern designations so I can't tell what bar fits what without going into each specific bar's page and zooming in on the photo. And, you've got the Super, L&T and Total 2 bars all mixed together. That could use a little work.

Been working on solving that. I am building an excel bar fitment guide.

There is no pattern or mount to the part numbers. Tilton just throws numbers at a bar and that's the part number. Only a couple things that are standard.
    FV is total super 3/8
FK is light and tough 3/8
PV is total super mini bar pattern .325

Just to expand on this a little more....hopefully end of the month there will be a totally new website with a bar lookup spreadsheet that has current saws listed so no more guessing for guys that dont know what mount a 6100, 562 or 2260 is(for some reason even oregon is slow to add saws to the list). including the Total super, light and tough, total II, total laminate, cannon, and possibly sugi all in one lookup. been a long process to put lists together of saws, mounts, bars but i think it will be worth it. Here is a preview....this is where i was at with it about a week ago....seems like an easy thing to put together but my complete stupidity on excel and the volume of saws to verify bar mount/pitch/gauge has been a bit overwhelming. The idea is to have this on the website and you can look up your saw, click on the bar that fits your saw and it will take you to the bar so that you can add it to the cart.

Sounds like progress. Hard to beat Bailey's bar selector interface for this.

that is what we are after....eliminate the need for buying bars from canada...cheaper bars, cheaper shipping costs, faster ship times.

That would be great! I bought a 24" Total bar from you last year, but I had to go to Canada for a 36" bar.

The way I am reading it, you are looking for what bars people want that you would need to order in multiples of 100. My guess is that very few bars could justify that ordering level. In my case I would love to see a K-095 in a 3/8, 24 inch length and an .050 guage but I doubt you would sell more than 5 of them in any year.

Oops! Maybe I was thinking about the bars? For some reason that was the only combination available when I bought mine... Sorry for the bad info!

k095 24" .050 is at the top of my list to order on my own. The rest of this is basically just a suggestion list for tilton....and if enough interest is expressed for a certain bar i may pony up and order it myself. your right about most of these bars being a low volume seller and ordering 50 of each sku is just impossible for a small guy like me but if i can convince tilton that the demand is there for them then it may become a reality. 36" bars are one that is probably not going to happen because if my sales of standard weight bars are any indication of what RW bars would sell like....it would take 5 yrs to move 50 bars.

Wow, scanned pages of a paper catalog? They must have a clean, searchable, copy-and-pastable PDF version they can let you use. It would be insane not to, and having it to work from would make your data entry/spreadsheet wrangling a lot easier.

You might also want to make it a little more obvious which bars are the solid/replacable sprocket "Super Pro" bars, and which are the laminated "Super" bars.

Making it easier to find the right bar might go a long ways towards increasing sales of these things. If it's a confusing process then some number of would-be buyers will give up out of frustration and/or uncertainty. I know Weedeaterman carries Total bars too, but his pages for them are just as much of a mess. Smells like... opportunity!
