Computer crashed this morning, after an update yesterday. It wouldn't restart, and startup restore was timing out. Finally got a restore point to take and everything seems normal.
then I just got a robo call from "Microsoft" that my computer was having issues, the guy wanted me to open a run command (windows+r) I tried to frustrate him for a while and he hung up on me.

add that to the strange things that happened here today - had to move a 4ft king snake out of the way while I was bucking that pine...he wasn't moving and I don't know why it was out of whatever hole it should be hibernating in

basod , I noticed my updates (from yesterday) were also creating a slow response. Took awhile, but it did restart.

Got the Dave cave heated up to 67 today! Even the blower motor on the furnace (for the OWB) is blowing less.
Warm basement has only one direction to give up it's heat...through the floors.
Of course, some heat leaves the walls and joist pockets (all insulated) but it's easier for it to just rise!

I think one of the kids coined it around the holidays but I'm not sure. I like it better than the man cave!

I used to have a hand painted sign near the entrance that read "he man women haters club!" in honor of the little rascals!

Did you bring the corn snake into the basement?

I wish I had one of those mice eaters around here. I've inadvertently brought at least 1 mouse into the house moving firewood from the stacks to my bins before they get burnt.

It's been cold here too. It was 4° yesterday on the way to work, it was 0 this am on my drive and there's nothing more gratifying than arriving home to a choochin' stove that my wife has been tending to before I open the door.

Here's what we have on the docket weather wise. Screenshot_2016-02-11-21-35-18.png

Not too bad, but sure is nice to have that warm air hit you in the face when you open the door and walk inside!!!!

Sorry about the cold out east, we are having a welcomed break from ol man winter. I will be taking full advantage of the mid 40's tomorrow, when the wind dies down and with the snow on the ground, my window wall is wonderful, lots of passive solar gain heat, I can even crack the door open air out the house a bit:yes:.
