What other forum are you guys talking about? Pm me if necessary. I'm a member of a bunch of firewood/wood stove/tree cutting/etc type forums, but I never seem to catch (or get involved with) the drama lama stuff and then miss out on it - which may not be a bad thing in and of itself..........

Very nice load, did you figure out what the benefit of them splitting like this is? Im curious if it is more profitable for them, or maybe there is a use for them other then people that cut it up for firewood.

It easier for them to process as firewood. They normally sell c/s.

Some of those look like they'll need to be split again.

Yeah, I was thinking the same on a few of the bigger ones. Most all of it can be thrown into the boiler. (24×24 door) Use those for all nighters.

Approx 10 cord. Once cut a stacked, I'll be able to measure better. Guys out of Dorr,mi has a lot of the split 8 footers. If anyone is interested I can give their info.

$1k delivered and stacked. Didn't mind paying that, as time saved with already being split logs. I don't plan on buying anymore wood, this was a one time deal to help get ahead if the game. I cut most every weekend on the farm.

Very interesting, could see that being great for an OWB with some smaller stuff mixed in.

Thats really not a bad price for a 10 cord load. You still have to cut but not split so that makes it a lot easier. And cutting is more fun then splitting!

How much do you burn a year in the OWB?

First year burning in an OWB. Use to have an add-on wood furnace until we moved and bought OWB. I like not having to c/s to fit a small firebox!
