Can't help it. I've even looked outside during the night....just to find out how early to get up to shovel....shees!
Back when I built this place I spent a lotta money on puttin' in winders ............. it sure weren't for people ta look in. I look out a lot, after all , HOMELAND SECURITY STARTS AT HOME
I rarely ever look out the windows, but does it count if I look at the monitor where I have all of my security cameras fed into? I'm always taking a look at that!
I'll be replacing my current windows this year for better and smaller ones. I keep them all covered with blinds and heavy drapes because it never fails, someone is trying to get a look inside, be it the post man, UPS or FedEx, Jehovah Witness's, and a number of my neighbors. That has dropped to one or two a year for the last few, but even once is too many in my book. That's one of the reasons for my many security cameras and two way mirror glass for some of the windows. The reason for the drop is probably because they know I'm armed and might mistake them for deer or some other vermin. I'm contemplating on whether or not to install the new windows, and then put a piece of plywood on the inside where I could mount a poster or something. Like one of someone sitting on the toilet!
Got to have windows. I built a sunroom on several years ago and I built in 6, 5' x 5' windows and a 7' x 7' glass slider door. We love that room, we've had birds try and fly through every once in a while but never had anyone peeking in!
I'd love to be able to have a room like that, maybe even with more windows and a large skylight, but as a bedroom. To wake with the sun kissing my face, maybe a breeze blowing through the open windows (spring summer and fall) has always been a fantasy of mine. But with these people around here feeling the need to look in my windows, that's not going to happen. I live in the boonies for privacy, and if I feel like running around naked inside or outside the house, I should be able to! So much for privacy!
Folks are welcome to walk up and knock on the door but standing there looking into my windows won't be tolerated.
Thanks, it was a fun project and since I did it all myself I did not have a lot into it. I'll see if I can't dig up some pics
We have very large windows looking over a wonderful view so no curtains are ever drawn unless it is really cold and windy at night. Here is our view. From Our Living Room Window | Firewood Hoarders Club It is unlikely we will ever have anything built high in front of us. this picture was taken about three years ago.
