After a long cold ruff day at work loaded up the daka furnace with some good seasoned cherry. Sat out in the attached garage where the furnace is locacted. Really warm. 18 degrees and snow outside. Smoked my pipe with some good tobacco, watched andy griffith reruns on my old tv, enjoying an adult beverage. Even with grand kid bugging m ( I dont mind), realized life is pretty good. Just sayin.....

Yep, good old shows. I sat with my elderly Mom over the weekend and watched a Matlock marathon.

That does sound good. I need to fix me up a spot where it is warm so I can smoke my pipe and let the mind wonder.

Yup the only improvement I will add is a more comfortable chair. Maybe well worn leather recliner.

Anytime you can relax and enjoy the warmth of the fire and smoke your pipe, I'd say that's a good day! What'd you have in your pipe? I need to stop by my local tobacconist and get some... Now if only I was able to enjoy the fire and enjoy my pipe at the same time. Need to work on that!

I remember my favorite grandfathers hand rolled cigarettes as a child. Vanilla tobacco? I have not smelled it in years, but I caught a wiff of it once in while after he was gone, it would stop me in my tracks to look for him, then revisit great memories on the old farm with him:)

It is incredible how the smell of tobacco smoke can do that. I've done the same thing whenever I smell Holiday tobacco... takes me back to Dad's pipe days.

Great grandpa used to be rolling up some Prince Albert while smoking one he just rolled and light them off each other and keep that up while splitting or bucking or stacking you would have thought he had two extra hands

I just picked up some Hobbits Weed at my local tobacconist, and it's a nice smooth smoke. Enjoy!

Nothing like a nice fire Mark. It's an ancient instinct now that makes us humans feel good in several ways. Burn on our friend.
