    Hey everybody here are a few pics of boards and logs I have milled up. I will keep digging for pics and post them as I find them. The three photos of wood are poplar, sycamore and maple.

    Great looking stuff. :yes: Where can you even buy sycamore lumber? That's what it's all about to me.

    Do you peel the bark, or was that the sycamore? Do you run a carbide blade on your mill?

    No I don't run a carbide blade. I can usually keep the logs pretty clean getting them to the mill. We can usually get around 400 bd ft out of a blade.

    Do you sharpen them yourself? If not I'd give the carbide a try. I do a lot of resawing with my bandsaw and my current blade has gone through a couple nails - made a nice smooth cut. I bet you'd get 10x the life.

    We send them back to woodmizer for sharpening. We might try the carbide out next time, im sure you are right about the life.

    Don't know if you have heard of woodmaxx blades by Kasco or not. May be worth a try also.
