Well I am finally going to drop a few trees near the house. I have 4 hickorys, 2 maples and 3 poplar getting the saw treatment. Its bittersweet because I love the shade and atmosphere they provide to my property. The maple is quad trunked and needs to be addressed. The poplar is tri trunked and has one tree that has major rot at the base. Hickorys are solid just leaning badly towards house and shed. Couldn't believe the price the guy quoted to drop 9 trees. He is insured and licensed so feel free to take some guesses at the price. Just to drop no bucking or anything. Here are pics to give ya an idea. Hickorys and one of the maple. These are about 60ft tall or so. Tri trunked poplar about 90ft tall or so
$250? lol Either this guy works for free, or you are way way under price. I have a few friends in the tree buisness. Im guessing $1k since he is only dropping them.
It was a low ball guess, LOL! That could be taken either way right there, hoping it's because the quote came in at "friend pricing" for capetownkg. Now that said, what am I gonna win for hittin it on the nose?
Would have to see what is around them for obstacles. If it's a drop into the woods than $2000. If it involves dismantling standing trees "surgically " $4500 plus.
From what we can see it appears to be an easy job so I would not guess too high. However, we don't know what the surrounding area is so it would be a wild guess. I'll pass and leave the guessing to others.
I was thinking along the lines of $100 per tree. BUT WAIT. There's more. If you act within the next 10 minutes..................................
All great answers. No cranes needed. Some tree climbing, but just ropes and pulleys. Most are within a 20ft range of the house. Lets get a few more guesses then I will let ya know. Winner gets two splits of poplar
i guess $12oo. not sure at all and fairly curious because i need some dropped that are in really bad places.
