I was bringing my second load of firewood for the year into the garage and realized I haven't even burned through 1/4 of what I had stacked to burn this season. I made my stacks based on the amount of wood I used the past 2 years, which were pretty brutal for this part of the country. But it's been so mild this winter it's looking like 1/2 of my wood will go towards the 2016/17 season. After I split what I already have I'll be 4 years ahead if that's the case!

I was honestly worried I wouldn't have enough, since most of my stash this year is silver maple. Hopefully Old Man Winter doesn't throw a curve ball at me for Feb. and March, it feels good to have more than enough firewood!!

I still have well over a cord outside, about 20-25% of our wood in the basement and most of our high btu woods still in the basement as well. This winter has been kind to our wood supply.

I haven't gone through 1/3 of the 3 cords I stacked on the porch for this year!

At this time of year, normally we are in an extended below zero snap and the wood usage is just screaming! However, with the mild winter we have been experiencing, There is plenty of wood left over for both the OWB and the kicker stove. The kicker stove requires the 3 year plan for wood and because of this season, I may just have been bumped up to the 4 year plan without any extra effort!

I've got a little over a cord and a half left and have used about that much. So on par with about what I've normally used. The difference between this year and last is I'm assisting the overhead furnace in keeping the garage warm with the excess heat from the house. And keeping the house 72-74 instead of 70-72. Its FREE so why not right?

I'm doing pretty good too. Probably through about a 1/3 of my wood for this year, when I should be through about half or so. Those past two years of cold weather make this year feel like Florida. :)

All the shoulder wood I had in kiln baskets is gone. More down back ready to go in for next year.
Started the wood furnace Jan 3 and haven't used a full cord yet nor have I reloaded the wood room. Holds 1.6 cord stacked. Yeah I measured it the other nite just for farts and giggles.
Sheds still completely full . About 3 cord and the heaphausen out back hasn't been touched. Guessing about 7 cord there. I wanted to get the shed emptied this winter so I can build a dog entrance into the wood room. Prolly not gonna happen.

I've burned close to 2 cords and I'll burn another 2 by spring. Its been warm here but I keep a fire going all day so I always have a nice bed of coals when I add more. :coldfire:

I think about 3 1/3 cords still in the shed, out of about 5 1/3.
Feb. 1st, I started on a stack of Oak that's 1/2 cord, and I expect to only use that or maybe a bit more for Feb.
My whole winter average is about 2/3 cord every month, with middle of Dec. through middle of March being the 3 coldest and heaviest use.
Jan. and Feb. is sometimes a whole cord each of those months, so using half or even 2/3 of that would be great.
Looking at the forecast to get a REAL general idea of upcoming weather, I don't think my estimate will be too far off.

I think the three year plan is rapidly becoming a five year plan, without adding a stick to my stack.

I was only accounting for the stuff I had allocated to burn this year.

Well as everyone else has said it's been a great year to get ahead.. new stove.. longer burn times.. last year was 12 plus cords for me and my holding deck can fit 8 plus.. so in September I loaded about 4 cord of shoulder wood on deck and figured before Christmas or deep snow would put 3 more cord of Ash and sugar maple in front so I would be prepared and have a chance to get a feel for new stove. Hoping I would be good.

February 4th still over a cord of shoulder wood left :D so Ash and maple will be saved for next year unless mother nature plays her little games

Much better here as well between the warm winter and the new stove. Last year I burned almost 12 face cord and this year is looking like it will be between 6 and 7 face cord. Only burned ash and red oak this year so that might be helping some too.

Yeah I was worried whether I was on pace after this summer to even replace what I had used, let alone get ahead on the plan. But by the time I started burning, I had added an additional 3 cords of storage and filled all of it. I've only used about 1.5 cord this year; about 1/2 of it was red pine and the other half was ash.

I have a bit over a face cord of black locust up on the porch that looks like it may be returning to the stacks. Plus I already have several more cords of ash and pine in log length next to the garage that will more than replace what I've used.

3 year plan - check.

I am burning a little more this year than last year. It has been colder on average and snow fall is about 16" above normal so far. I have plenty of wood so no matter what it does. Probably have used about 1 1/2 cord so far.

About 1 and 1/4 cords burned so far this year. Normally go thru 3............+ or - a little bit. Supposed to be a fair bit colder next week.......................but I'll be in Florida working Tuesday thru Thursday, so the house will be cold when I get home as I have the NG furnace set of 55*F.

I have burnt more than 2/3 of my planned for this year, so I am a little further into it than I wish. I have plenty more, but it is outside in snow-covered stacks. We'll see, maybe I'll be mixing some of that in before the winter is over, though I hope not.

Ive gone through just under half of the 4 cords I had scheduled for this season. Barely touched any in the shed, and if I can continue to access the stacks in the woods, I won't need to fill the shed again in the fall!
