Only one saw so far. The raw power and magnificent rumbling of the Husqvarna 240 (38 mighty cc) is all I need for my life as a p/t forestry worker. Well, actually homeowner with 2 1/2 cord per year requirement.

I have 1 saw and cut more firewood than the majority of the people here. 8 or 9 cord a year. So there's that.

You are fortunate in that you have basically a two saw plan in one:thumbs:
I would go to 1 saw if it was a MS362. And had the lower back of my younger days, too.
You put a goodly amount up for sure, lukem

I've had several dozen over the last 4 or 5 years..

But if I had to choose 2 saws? A Husq 346xp and Husq 372xp (or a Stihl 440/460 Mag).

Take the 346xp and the 372xp and you have the ultimate combo..

Add a 390xp for a big saw, and it's probably the best 3 saw plan out there.

Yea buddy, those displacements feed well beside each other. I have the CS-400 / CS-670 combo. The 40cc does all the bucking and limbing, anything over 16" diameter gets the 670. The smaller chain on 400 leaves less waste as chips.

I ran for many years with just one saw and pinched it a few times. Would waste my time trying to find a big limb to lift the log or once unbolted the bar then whittled it out with my scrench. The Ford and I never head to the woods without 2 saws now.

I have one saw of each- Husq., Stihl, & Makita. Does that sorta count?
Each have their purpose, I don't need another one. Went cold turkey on CAD a few years ago , not looked back.

One cheap saw for me (Poulan PP5020av), cutting about 10 cords a year on average. I just bought my wife a little rechargeable, but that doesn't count.

Hear hear!! I pinched a bar in dead-standing when it hung up in the canopy. Never again, I bring two saws when out-n-about.

I've never tried it but how about one saw and two bars.... unbolt the power head from the pinch and slap on a new bar and chain.... rescue away.

Been there. Works great, costs less. Then I came here, added two saws, sold one back to HoneyFuzz.

One 50cc stihl, I keep thinking "do I want a bigger saw?" And I'm always like "what for?" Sounds appealing, but no legitimate purpose for one for what I cut

Iwill use my Stihl MS-290 until it won't cut anymore (basically total junk) then head down to the local Stihl dealer for a new one. :rootintootin:
