Corinths, MWP, a few Inferno Gold and now into LaCrete. The first three were good for heat and when those ran out and LaCrete went in on came the light ash and awesome heat. Overall my only deep cleaning took under 30 minutes due to using good pellets-it does pay to not use crap in a Harman. :)

I'm loving the LaCrete's so far. Very light ash, good heat and the glass stays clean. The only thing I've noticed is they produce more smoke out of my venting. I have adjusted the draft to get a clean burn and the glass is staying clean, cleaned all my venting pipe and deep cleaned the stove before I switched over.I'm not getting any build up in my venting or termination outside, just get some smoke once and awhile. I'll take the little bit of smoke for being able to run the stove on lower setting and go longer between cleanings while using less pellets. I was using MWP (TSC bagged), which in all honesty were not that bad. A little higher ash and less heat with clinkers once in awhile but there are much better than the green supremes I burned. I still have a couple bags of Douglas firs I haven't tried yet, hasn't been cold enough to torch those monsters off.

I too have a couple bags of DF's, 1 of LeCretes and one Vermont's waiting for cold weather that ain't made it here this year. I'm okay with that and will happily wait until next year to see how they burn.

Are those the blue colored lettering bags? I know someone who picked up 20 bags of these a week or two ago and according to the UPC code, they are MWP. They do seem higher than usual ash from the batch that they have.

Picked up 25 bags of 'Satisfaction' brand softies the other day, which are (re-branded) Granules LG pellets, bagged by LG for Home Depot Canada..

Pellet length is more consistent & uniform (shorter) than the LG Granules-branded pellets here from May 2015 - heat output is exactly the same, but the burn pot is staying a little cleaner, due to more consistent feed rate & burn .. 230 F Exchange exit temp, 1.6 lb/hr, @ 57 F intake air (OAK) temp.

I picked these up at a local dealer in Keene, NH (not HD) - but with all the excess inventory around..

    * If you happen see this brand @ your local HD, and are looking for a good burning Softie - I recommend giving these a try.

Thanks CleanFire! The HDs around here do not carry these. There are two small shops that do, and both carry LGs as a regular offering! I think they sub these in when the supplier runs out of the LG bagged version.

Right back at 'ya, Steve - you Guys are scoring -great- deals on pellets in CT, NJ, and PA these days.
    :vulture:

The "Vulture Mobile" will be 'flying' again this weekend for more - just as soon as I get these unloaded and stored, too much rain to do anything outside today.

    * I'll be stopping by HD on Friday to pickup some (non-pellet) supplies - will check on prices and report back.

I hope you guys start getting the good deals up there too, I'm sure it's just a matter of time. It started down towards Philly around me and they had HD stores that were at $199 for a few weeks before they changed it up here. Fingers crossed.

At these prices, I definitely need to score another ton at some point.

That would make sense TT - if you find them at a lower price vs. Granules LG, I'd grab some.

Me too, I am going to score & restock w/ some tonnage of the Satisfaction pellets now (vs. later) to give us some breathing room, then plan some trips out to McManus accordingly to get some 'Rocket Fuel'.

Keeping a close eye out here also - I am working on the Englander 25-PDVC here this week, to use as the "test stove" for another project I'm working on, so hoping to pickup some Chows or FSUs "on the cheap" for it ..

So -Thanks- to all for posting this good info, it's been really helpful here!

So far I have not seen any deals good enough to jump on. Lowest so far is still 250/ton but last week Lowes in Rochester was sitting on more tons than I have ever seen there-yet they are still charging over 300 for Green Teame. 259 for Inferno Gold, Green Supreme and one other brand

Yeah Lowes doesn't know what they're doing . The only thing that they carry occasionally that's any good are Somerset's and they can't seem to find them in their inventory . Once in awhile someone pushes a pallet onto the floor and when you call to see if they have anymore most of the time the person on the phone has never heard of them .

I stopped at Lowes after work to pick up a couple of bags of Inferno Gold to try just in case they do lower their prices. I couldn't find any open pallets anywhere in the store. I saw some full pallets in the garden center but I didn't have time to mess with them. I'll try again next week. I want to try them just for comparison.
