My wife has shown alot more interest in shooting recently. A while back I picked up a walther p22 pistol for her as an entry level handgun and she enjoys it but after coming to the trap range with me a few times she's said she'd like to try it herself. I didn't want to throw her right into it with a 12ga so i picked this up from a friend who's going through some hard times. I gave him more than he told me he wanted for it (it's basically brand new) and told him he can always get it back from me if things turn around. It's a mossberg 500 pump 20ga. The pink stocks are getting swapped as soon as i find another set. Even the wife aint a fan of them.
Mine has a P22, 9mm shield, springfield xds, and a mossberg 12 gauge she had to have a shotgun. She hasn't shot it yet but I'm sure she won't be as comfortable with it as she thinks.
My wife has been after me to buy her an 870 20 gauge with pink cammo..... Go figure. She has been pistol shooting with me for years but just recently decided to try skeet and liked it. She just doesn't like my 12 gauge over and unders kick.
I'm sure she'll love it. Although the Pink camp wouldn't be my Wife's choice either. Women and guns go together in my neck of the woods. My daughter (2.5 yrs old) has a pink camo T/C .22 , but she likes it (even though she hasn't shot it yet)
Hope she enjoys the shotgun. I'm nobodys wife, and I'm not in the pink camp either...but I've got a few firearms including but not limited to, a couple of made in belgium browning shot guns, a S&W 9mm model 6904, a S&W model 15-2 revolver, a high standard double 9 .22 revolver, a Llama 1911 style .45, and my favorite, a two screw Ruger Blackhawk .357 mag. Want to get an M&P Shield 9mm if I can save some pennies.
My 4 year old has had her cricket since summer before last. She gets to shoot it when we shoot if she wants to. She likes pink ones. The baby will be getting one here sometime. Not sure how long I'll wait to get hers.
Starting them young I bought that T/C .22 for her at 6 months and my Son's .22 Cricket when he was 4 months. Still have his Cricket after 12 yrs. We don't shoot it anymore, but I can't bring myself to sell it.
