It looks like Punxsutawney Phil sees no shadow, and predict an early spring! That doesn't hurt my feelings.any. But why trust a ground hog? Maybe for the same reason we trust reading the bands on Woolly Worms. Anyway, it is great fun carrying on these old traditions and folklore.
savemoney, as I sit in living room, family is out tapping trees, seeing grass and haven't built a snowman or rode a snowmobile in 10 months.. I wondering in spring early of this the year without a real winter. but after last 2 I suffer through it
It gets even more confusing when you realize there's actually 7 weeks from Feb 2 - March 20, the 'official' first day of Spring. So even if he sees his shadow and we get 6 more weeks of winter, it's still an early spring!?!?
Ok, don't try to overthink it. It is a fun event. Lots better than the clown parade on TV every night. Try to make any sense of that that picture
Stupid groundhog. Guess he doesn't get Lake Effect - got about a foot today at the house. 20 miles south where I work, almost nothing. Not a trace of snow to be seen yesterday. It's supposed to continue like this for a couple days too. Oh well; I didn't bring that black locust up onto the porch for nothin! I've been ready - bring it!
