:hair: I have always done our taxes including too many extra forms, and did them early. Now, with Dear Husbands work, our taxes are done by an accountant. Great because they are way over my head, but bummer because they are never done early....... I am happy for you luke, and a bit envious:whistle:

yooperdave , we are to get less snow down by me, and more up north. You yoopers are to get 6-11".

Up to 2" here, only because they figure that rain will move in here, where it will be all snow up only a few counties. 4-6" where my wood lot is a half hour away.

Perfect IMHO. I need some snow for my wood hauling rig. That and there's less for me to deal with here at my house.

Don't hold your breath on snowfall totals. I was supposed to get up to 2', got about 5".
This storm is dry and slow, but cold temps. I'll be surprised to get another 2" bye the time it blows out.

The gulf air has joined the system here and it's wet.

But then again, it's weather forecasting now and not weather postcasting. ;)

Same here, though the forecasts have been changing to reflect that. I do a guesstimate from when Denver channels show my area:rofl:

That's pretty much how mine went. Single, employed all year at one company (with medical), no deductions. Not even worth paying the $29 for tax software. Well, it did remind me of the MA state tax refund I got last spring (from a job I had for 3 months in 2014), so that had to be added as "income". Ah well, I am pretty confident they won't want to audit my boring azz anyway.

As soon as I laid down for bed last night, My breathing started the "rattling/rasping/oh no you're not going to sleep" sounds. This along with outbursts of violent (very) coughing kept us both awake for quite some time. After over tow hours of attempts, I moved to the recliner and it seemed to help a bit as I could keep my upper body a bit more vertical. The violent coughing is at it's worst right now. I try to hold back at all costs since it is so painful and feels like there is a cactus stuck in my upper throat. Yesterday, I almost passed out from a few coughing spells. I am trying to work once more only because I cannot relax at home. Put in a full day yesterday and felt better by noon. Hope it will happen again. Got to overcome the coughing stuff right now though.

    Rant over.

I do my own normally, but there always seems to be something that the tax software won't do and I end up researching the snot out of it. PIA! If you're making and selling tax software why can't it handle everything?

You my friend are very, very close to pneumonia,if you don't already have it. You might want to get a second opinion on that, but it is not something to play around with. Good Luck and take care of yourself.

For you Turbo Tax users, I converted to Tax Act. Its not as pretty of a GUI, but it works just the same and is easily half the price. Last year was my first year using it, I will again.

Haven't filed yet this year, you guys are on top of things.

I itemize, have stocks, etc. so I have to pay a step up from basic. Easy peasy, I don't think I leave anything on the table.

This year could be interesting, got some nice raises so hope for that break even but who knows. I am usually conservative and get way too much back, but it sure feels good when that does happen.

Now I guess I'm going to have to get my tax stuff together over the next few days and get it done.

I shoot for 0 refund. Didn't make it this year.

I've used tax act before. Not sure why I switched. Taxes are getting easier for me than they used to be so I might switch back next year.

Next year I will do them myself again. Only did the programs the last 3 years because of different things happening in my life that complicated things. At times I couldn't even add 2 and 2 together - there was no way I could wade thru that mess. I paid enough penalties from the circumstances - didn't need an audit, or penalties because I didn't pay enough penalties.
