I love my morning coffee, I feel I can't start my day without it. If fact, it is the first thing I get going after my pit stop and letting the dogs out. I like coffee that takes as good as it smells. I don't sweeten it up with anything but the half and half, just enough to color it. But lately, any more than one large cup isn't agreeing with me. So I am trying the second cup as a decaf. Most of the decafs I have tried fail to pass the taste test of really good coffee. One of my favorite brands of coffee is the McCafe in the Kcup. Anyone tried any other decafs that deliver a nice full flavor? I just bought a case of the Green Mountain decaf and have to say, it isn't what I was looking for. I would love to have a cup of coffee after supper, but when I do, I have a very hard time getting to sleep. Suggestions?

That won't go well with my meds. :(. I've often thought I might sleep better, but not with my meds. Two of my brothers both became acholholics. Both now sober for years, but not before putting their families through hell. I might have a beer 4 or 5 times a year, but that is all I try.

Larry, I am going through similar. I had to give up Dt Coke after my thyroid went hyper. Now sipping coffee here and there all day is bothering my stomach. I tried 1/2 leaded 1/2 unleaded, not that great. The breakfast blends are bland to me. I found some "low acid" coffee on Amazon, but it was pretty expensive so I have not bought it. For now, I still do two pots a day so I always hot coffee available, but just tiny sips here and there...... Let me know if find something you like!

I've been trying some EIGHT O'CLOCK medium roast decaf through the Keurig. It's not too bad (for decaf) but it could be a little stronger.

I'm asking Cindy to pick up some McCafe decaf in the k cups. I'll let you know how it goes. For my taste, I can't do Starbucks. Too bitter for me.

I have only had Starbucks out of desperation while in airports, even the normal stuff was too strong for me, and according to other people that have visited my home, I like strong coffee. Interesting. AND, the starbucks was years ago when I drank DT coke and strong coffee alot.:sherlock: Edit, I drank them both all day long.

I still remember in the mid-late 1990's when we got our first starbucks. WWW who is not a coffee drinker wondered what all the hoopla was about and asked what he should order. He called me an hour later quite irritated and said he could not type properly:rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :picard::whistle:

savemoney, there's a coffe press that works in the fridge....can't remember exactly, but it keeps the acids from busting your belly... I'll have to look it up. It's not a typical press, IIRC.

Started doing mostly decaf about a week ago. Folgers.
I drink what's on sale, but not usually the less expensive stuff. Hate Starbucks. Can't much see the sense in paying almost as much for a cup of coffee as I do for a month's worth.
The decaf seems a little milder. Obviously, a lot less caffeine. Seems to have helped now that I'm mostly over the caffeine withdrawals.
I put a little creamer and a tsp of honey in mine, and go through 8 cups/day according to the carafe. Sometimes 4 or 6.
Back in the day, I drank a LOT of coffee....not so much now, but I really enjoy it.
Had it cut back to just a cup or 2/day, but that didn't last very long.

My stomach has been bothering me for years. Gave up alcohol and coffee. I started drinking peppermint tea a few years ago. I drink it all day and it calms my stomach and it doesn't have any caffeine. I know it's not for everyone, but it's sure works for me.

Peppermint tea aids in digestion too so nice to have after dinner or in the evening. Most herbal teas are caffeine free so I have been enjoying them while staying in hotels while I'm travelling for business. I find they help me relax and sleep.

We buy whole beans, freshly roasted. I can not handle much caffeine so I mix and grind my own. I do 1/3 to 1/2 caffeinated. If I am having a third cup or some in the afternoon, it will be all decaf. My local roaster also does decaf.

Maybe you can find a half-caf you like, then you can have 2 cups of it?

Love popcorn, but have to be careful. The amount I eat depends on the size of the container. That's why my wife puts it in a cereal bowl. None of those serving like I might get at a theater. (Last time I went to a movie was about 8 years ago)
