I'm about 80/20 on heating the house with wood insert and ng hot water boiler. Then gas hot water heater and gas cooking and also keep a 2 1/2 car garage at about 40ยบ in the winter with a gas reznor heater. About 350.00 per year in gas.

100% here! Haven't lit the furnace in 15 years. Local utility company checked our meter to be sure it was working correctly. Haha! We do have gas hot water though.

    90% wood/10% electric heat
(I would be 100% wood but due to working crazy hours at work.....I take the easy way out on cold mornings when I come home from a 12 hour graveyard)

For the most part I burn wood.
It's always been a personal challenge to be 100% wood. The last few years stepping up to that challenge has been ,,, well,,, challenging. I'll let the propane kick on when I'm not feeling up to wood . Usually warmer nites like last nite.

I heat 100% with wood we have a Heatmor OWB it heats our home and woodshop and domestic hot water The furnace probably doesn't even work we dont have a propane tank. I fire up in Sept. and burn till May,electic heats the domestic hot water in the summer. Our hot tub is heated with wood,I keep it going most of the year, nothing better than a soak in the tub after cutting wood all day.!

Our furnace has come on only a hand of times this years...usually when we slepted in on some very cold mornings., until we got a fire started.

    It's been 9 years here.

I even go so far as to keep the oil furnace breaker turned off so it doesn't try to come on overnight.

Is it chilly in the morning? Occasionally.

    Do I care? Nope.

100% Grandma Fisher, and have been since about 1980! We "just" installed a gas majestic vent free stove this past year, only because they finally put gas down our street, We only use it to take the chill off of our back room addition. Other than that I have electric base board that hasn't seen electricity since Grandma was installed!

I do have an electric water heater with a Daughter who takes 45 min showers! :picard: $$$

100% heating with wood here, electric for the hot water though. Propane for the kitchen stove and furnace. 3 years ago turned off the pilot light for the furnace and have never looked back. Last 2 winters were a challenge to heat with all wood. This winter, not so much....

House and hot water- 100% OWB.

Basement- mostly F/A from furnace (three s/a) and occasional "kicker stove" which is looked forward to being used.

We where 100% wood and pellets for the last couple of years however we just had a new fancy furnace installed 98% efficiency! :) The old 73% died and I never saw a need until I stumbled on a really fancy goodman for $1300 list is $3200....

100% wood for both heat and domestic hot water. OWB has a propane burner (dual-fuel model) which I rarely use.

80% wood and 20% K1 cause the furnace comes on in the wee hours of the morn. and no it is not worth getting up in the middle of the night to restoke the stove.

I try my best but when I'm not home I have no control. I usually try and put a big load in before I go to work so the oil doesn't kick on until about noon and I get home about 3:30. I keep the temp at 64f when I'm not home but before I go to work I try and get it up to 75

100% with wood when I am not away from the home, periodically testing the furnace, or lazy beyond my normal level of laziness :)
