I know the DP front cover on my 650 is from them.

 

I really respect you guys that run this place. A better crew would be hard to find. Thanks for being open about links to other saw sites.....that speaks to your character.

I am not here to promote any other site. I'm actually checking in to be sure y'all heard about the raffle.

As far as OPEforum goes......Bruce is also a great guy. I've been dealing with him for a few years......done work for him, and have had no bad experiences.

I am the only forum moderator there at this time. I try to keep politics completely off the site. I feel that there are two subjects that can only serve to divide us......politics, and religion. They have no place on a chainsaw/firewood/logging forum in my humble opinion.

There are a few people that I stopped at the door. I have logged a lot of time on these various forums, and I've seen the same guys start the same fights over and over. Those guys have either been warned that they are under a microscope, or turned away outright.

Some people might think that since I mod saws for a living that I am not the best choice as moderator. To those people I say this........I am booked up with saw work till May. I don't advertise, and I have no plans to start. I could care less if another "builder" is there to look for work. There are many other guys there that mod saws.......and we all get along very well.

Anyway.......

Is it ok if I post a link to the raffle? It is for Mark Hoskie, who lost his shop in a fire.

 

So is everybody leaving AS? I have heard hints of this.

 

I don't think that is the case at all. AS has more members online right now than OPE has in it's entire membership. lol

First off I'd like to apologize to the fine folks of this site .
I didn't want to air dirty Landry here , I would have rather done it where this clown is acting like a little broken hearted school girl!!! But the local staff member for what ever reason elected to void my membership, maybe he doesn't like competition IDK can't recal ever have words with him on open forum.
First off most people would have done 1 of 2 things if someone "really" did steel some thing of there's eather report it to the LAW or be a man and go knock on this " alleged" theifs door !!!!! Not acts like a girl and run all over the inter webs bohoing about it !!!

I never denied changing said head.
After doing extensive testing and conversing with many other builders I found a different profiled head on a alky-nitro saw made impressive gains in many ways.
made motor run a lot cooler , easer to cold start (witch is very important in a race motor), more ignition timing without detonation ect.
As any GOOD builder will do, I had said saw I'm my shop ironing out a few small bugs, so at this time this guy was a supposed friend so ay MY cost I machined a new head and installed on said saw for FREE not expecting or wanting to be to be paid . ( everyone else that got this update paid !)
He clames it was slower but it was not saw was ran in "same block" same B/C on the same day, as I recal there wasn't a measurable change in speed but like I had said earlier it benefited a lot in other ways. That's the truth and all I'm going to bore you with on that subject . Shipped saw back on my dime never even got a thank you !
Real quick on the sign .
He bought a sign in up state NY from jack walker.
My self a a few guys had went over to a winter GTG.
When we got ready to leave Jwalker had this sign with him and asked if I'd take it back with me to save trying to find a way to ship it and of course I said yes no problem ( kevin is unaware that I have it and will be bringing it back )
So we ALL JOKEINLY desided I'd just hang it on my wall and it would be a surprise when he was at the shop again he'd see it. Well in the mean time he had gotten wind that I had it and wanted to come get it .
It being in my construction season I was working nights at the time and told him I'd set it out by my wood burner and he could come get it st his leisure . I never ever got so much as a THANK YOU that the kinda guy he is.
As far as the accusations about RS well that's all hearsay he was no way involved with any of it actually he was labeled by site owner and his brother as being behind the vishious HACK.

The real funny thing is he thinks by running his CS he's hurting my saw Business lol not that I'm looking for any but I can tell when he's crying the phone doesn't stop ringing.
sad thing is a guy like this thrives on the hate and discontent witch is why he was given the flick years ago ,all you have to do his look at his history . There is life beyond chainsaws and the Internet sad some don't have it.

They were all removed yesterday. So I wont keep typing and wasting my time.
