I've got a chance to get a countervibe 3700 in Sears colors. The guy is asking a little more than I want to pay but a bunch of you guys are pretty savvy with true value on these. Looks good everything is there and runs strong. But in my opinion $90 is a bit high. Any opinions?

Just looking at this as a collection standpoint and a saw to play with. Don't plan on retiring the Dolmars anytime soon.

If you need a regular firewood saw, just compare that one to what is available in the big box store at the sub-$150 price point.

Parts for that saw are still plentiful.

    Easy decision.

i have one and it is a good saw, smooth and powerful. mine is better yet i found it in the trash with a plugged carb, cleaned it out and runs great. if it runs good it is probably better than a new cheap saw.

Looking at it just as a toy. Got a 4000 a few weeks ago and trying to build a collection of the series. Not going to be a work saw, got plenty of those.

I'd grab it ASAP. $90 is a very fair price.Whether for collection/occasional use or a regular cutter, you wont find anything new that will match it power-wise for less than $400.

Worst case scenario....you would get your money back on that purchase if you ever decided to sell.

If the saw is in good shape then 90 dollars is a great price.

$50 to $100 around here. But they also will cut with $500 saws of today.
