Have been waiting for a bog area behind my house to freeze solid enough to cut the trees/tops down in it. Thought it would be pretty firm by now, but it is only frozen on the top couple inches. Good enough to start cutting, but not as firm as I expected it to be by now. Here are a couple pictures of my walking stick - would be curious to know how deep you could go before hitting something solid.

My dog Truman (Chesapeake Bay Retriever) loves this place in the summer and wades through the muck sticking his muzzle into the goo up to his eyes - it clearly pleases him on some sensual level only a dog could appreciate. :loco:

My wife's uncle just rolled up with the semi and 28' dump trailer and dumped off a load of wood fer me. Can't beat that.

My wife's cousin is clearing a lot to build a house (mostly BL)...loggers are dropping everything....I get all the wood. Can't beat that either.

I'm covered up in future firewood.:saw::stacke::fire:

A most excellent arrangement except for missing out on my favorite part, cutting down the tree!

Trying to start the weekend off on the right foot... It's been a rough couple of weeks at work... I need some my time... So BBQ some wings, while enjoying a small fire in this 60 degree weather...

Mine seems to be okay (she wedged between my tire and the body - had to tow hers away). I just have to get mine looked at to make sure there is no structural or front end damage such as struts (or whatever is under there). When I bought the truck, two months ago, they put in a new steering rack - if that got damaged that is a week to get parts and put in. Probably unlikely to have gotten damaged, but my luck has been horrible the last 3 years, so wouldn't surprise me if it had. At least my truck is still driveable - it does need another alignment at the very least, but don't hear any grinding or loose parts.

The obvious answer to that is that people have too much distraction going on as they multi-task their way thru life. This distractive behavior, unfortunately carries over when they get behind the wheel. The automobile manufactures aren't helping with all the tech crap they are stuffing in their products. It's only going to get worse.........................

Heck, if I had to wait two weeks to open the Christmas gift, I would have forgotten who it was from!
