Here's an idea; put a mason jar on your desk and keep a tab next to it. Each time you would be buying a pack of cigs, put the money in the jar. Set an amount that is say equal to that new saw you would love to have. Take the cost of the saw and deduct the cig money you put in each time and watch that saw money accumulate. Pack a day and you will have your saw by spring? I say once you make 90 days, it will be a given that you can and will quit. How much for an MS660?? Shoot for the stars...........

Well, I have made it 4 full days without smoking now. Going to keep it up. Cravings have been minor. Been taking fresh air drags as bodydave suggested when they do hit. Works good, thanks for that. It just feels different this time, easier, like it's meant to be.

Have a good healthy habit to substitute in case of cravings that are stronger. Bag of trail mix or raw carrots? Give up booze and broads too!

No comment on the first statement but I heartily agree with drinking more water. Helps flush the nicotine out and helps with the munchies cravings.

I saw the pics of your fridge. Definitely live alone. The weather you have been having, the beer is in the fridge to keep from freezing?

I forgot the beer in the truck last night. Needed some time in front on the defiant before enjoying today. The fridge is really just a buffer between the frigid outside and the toasty inside.

Well, thank you for the compliment. :emb: It is kind of fun meeting all these new people this way. Not too many people understand Campinspecter's fun with firewood hoarding although we live in a community that has a lot of wood stoves and access to wood.

Any one thing, other than self-control, that is helping you knock off each day?

No replacement things. Just really sick of smelling like it, feeling chitty, being broke. It's just time. I used to like smoking, now it's a burden. Convincing myself of that was key.
