Lol, crayons. Or at least toy bullets. How are these coated bullets on the guns, bore buildup? Shavings in the action?
I havent shot any but my step dad has lots. No buildup. Lead leaves more than these powder coat. The green does not seem to flake or shave off though. And there is no kind smoke so they look like factory ammo in the smoke department
I've just started loading "bulk"if you will. I used to load up the plastic flip top boxes of 50 and 100 until the safe got full. Ran out of room and now I've got partially full cans of 223 m855, 223 varmint loads, 9mm, and 40. I still load 44mag a couple hundred at a time, so no ammo can for those. One of these days, I'm gonna try powder coated in my marlin 44mag. Larger than normal bore (.432) is the perfect reason to try them imo.
I have another partial can with 44mag in it. Maybe only 100 in their. I slugged my marlin 1894 and it did not measure that big. Maybe its cause my lead was not that big to begin with? It was .430 the lead. But it has lands and groves in it and was pretty darn hard to get through. I used a hard cast bullet like an idiot. I destroyed the wood dowel trying to bang it through.
I'm using a progressive. I use the lee classic 4 hole. This was done with the keep 4 die set. I'm starting to love that factory crimp die. I timed myself (10 rounds). If I were to go at my fastest pace it would be 260+ an hour 266 to be exact. BUT thats not really safe and I am ADD and can't sit there that long so I do short bursts here n there. Plus with my son he watches and helps but I often have to stop to chase him down. So I may get 5 mins here, 10 there, 30 mins or maybe just two mins. I swapped in the 38 turret 10 days ago and there was nothing in this can at that point.
By request... A 50cal ammo can filled with .22; 6,000 rounds. I have a few more cans but I won't be pulling them out for pics tonight.
