    I finished this snail today. It is a sugar maple split for the shell and apple limb for the body. I forged the eyes out of steel rod.

    I resplit a bunch of wood for our neighbor and then stacked it in a covered area, he should be set for another three or four weeks.

    What a contrast between the rough piece and the finished piece! Lovely work. How long did it take for you to "see" the shell in that piece of work.

    This a SmokeStack Series Bourbon Barrel Quad from Boulevard Brewery. I've got onto a Bourbon Barrel kick here lately. Trying a variety of them to see if I can find one that I want to try to mirror.

    I read that too initially, but perhaps they reevaluated or based the calculation on what it registered in another location?
    IDK. Just hope damage was minimal, and lives aren't too disrupted.
    Probably gonna be a shortage of laundry detergent though.
