Jersey shore here. It's a mess. I've got around 18 to 24 inches and 36 inch drifts. They have a lot of storm surge and flooding on the barrier islands. It's still snowing and it's windy as all hell. Be shoveling and snow throwing tomorrow. The power was out for 7 hours today. Ideal Steel kept the house warm while I was out moving snow. Came inside, put the Dutch oven on the cook top and heated up my chicken parm sub. Around 3 pm I as going to start setting up the genny but the power came back on.

Sandy was horrible for my area. This is a walk in the park.

Well, it finally stopped here (west of Philly). Close to 30". Worn out from moving snow. Sleep, here I come.

We were promised 4-6", didn't even get a dusting. I have a 22HP tractor just itching to get at some snow...

Doesn't look like much here and I am not complaining! Good luck and stay safe to those with the large amounts of snow..

So, the "lightweight" plow guy didn't make it out last night (poor baby...). Out to start the process of trying to get to the main road. 4/10 mile. 30" wide snow blower. 30" of snow. Do the math, and wish me well.

Wow good luck with that! Sounds like you need a front end loader for that job! Went through that 2X last winter in a 6 day span! Snowblower was no match for the task at hand..

Unless you have somewhere urgent to go, why not sit tight? He'll show up.

Have some drifts that are pretty deep especially the end of the driveway which is 12"+ but not too bad.. Many of you have it pretty tough so be careful out there!

    Official tally is 27 inches.

The drifts are definitely higher than 3 feet in some cases.

Stomach is full, stove is loaded. Going out to get on it.

After getting half the snowblowing done today the engine started revving really high.. I was afraid I'd blow the engine so I shut it down then it barely idled and wouldn't stay running. I took the guarding off and discovered the S-hook which controls the throttle had fallen off. Luckily I didn't lose the S-hook and figured out where it went and squeezed it down a bit to prevent from happening again.

Yes I got lucky for sure! I am not a mechanic so that felt pretty good to fix that!

Yeah, and how many people would have just kept on going, delighted it was throwing snow soooo much farther, and blown the engine! Good for you!
