Got everything I had down anywhere, about 2 cords, split one truck load for friend that helped coming off the trailer, topped off pile with rest, got one rubber roof piece over the peak, and got the plow on the truck. I'm ready for snow, and ready for bed. Nothing like the feeling of closing the barn doors before bad weather is coming. I'm 38% Native America (Pawatan/Cherokee), think it must be in the blood. Best of luck all for upcoming storm!
Shutting it down for a while now and just burning, will be cheering on everyone who can still get out. Still hearing everything here from 6 inches to 18 inches. Still too early to tell.
I'd be happy with 6 here. I am hopeful because the forecast showed nothing now we are at 2-3. I've been shut down but not by choice with a nerve pinched but it's comin around so I'm getting the saw itch
It's always good to be ready then have to run around like a chicken without a head. Nice work and set up you have there. Be safe
Oy, you're not done yet, I see piles of wood to be split and stacked. Come on, get at her, I'll be waiting (by my stove)...
Getting ready for a snow storm is just like getting ready for burning wood. You do it ahead of time and that takes a big load off your shoulders.
We're on the northern edge of the really heavy snow down here on the Maryland line. The plan is to take my trailer to work tomorrow so I can head out and load it up when I'm done. If we get the 2 feet, it could be a month or 2 before I can get back into those pastures to pick up what I cut. Moved a few more loads against the house so at least that is done.. I actually hope we get the full 2 feet they're talking about here..
