I thought mine were echoing......... Started getting a slight coolness in here a couple hours ago, so I added 4 splits to the stove. Back up to 75 in here. Nice. Mebbe these creaky bones of mine will stop for a while.
Probably burned just about 1 cord by now, I've been burning the red oak lately but a couple of weeks ago I was still burning shoulder wood because the house was getting too hot! Got some hickory going tonight, smells great in here!!
Looks like just under 2 full cords so far. Just about 1/2 way through our burn season and warmer temps are not too far away (I'm trying to be optimistic here). Hope to only use 4 cords this winter. That'll be nice, as some of the Oak I have for next year is a little bit questionable. I can maybe save that for 17-18', and use this leftover stuff next winter. The Ash I got last fall is burning pretty well after I let it sit near the stove for a couple hours. I put it in with dryer stuff.
What can I say.... I read at the speed of 43! I may not be as as some around the FHC, but I fear my arms aren't going to be long enough....soon? Maybe I should slow down when I read
I'd say we've hit a cord or a smidge over. Our smoke dragon hasn't been smoking like the neighbor's on the corner, getting a secondary burn with my addition of black pipe burn tube, but on-the-punky side Pecan and little better old Shag goes up pretty quick. Looking forward to next year's Osage and white/red oak!
Turns out replying to someone who doesn't add anything to their quote-bearing post won't show that I actually quoted you in my post. Make sense?
