    [​IMG] too cold here to do anything but stay inside. The wind is blowing very hard and them temps are way back down again. 11 F and dropping, -3F with the chill factor.

    You can say that again. 5 degrees (and dropping too) here in SE NY, and -12 windchill......and it's only 6pm! :eek: The Polar Vortex is upon us.....AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    And it's gonna be 52 on Saturday. :confused:

    I know you've gotten some serious snow lately, but be thankful you don't live over in the Tug Hill plateau region of NY.....east of Lake Ontario is going to get hammered. Predictions of up to 6 FEET in some spots:

    My sister in law lives there and is a RR mail carrier Tug Hill is her route:( :(I'll have to check on her a pellet burner too:) has one of the englander 's not sure which one.

    My mother told me I had stop stop doing that or I'd go blind… so far I've had a right shoulder replacement and left side carpal tunnel surgery…I've been a bad boy!!! And I have reading glasses...

    I remember Salt water rivers frozen when i was a kid. Dont see that anymore. i dont remember that kind of cold but it had to be brutal

    I can remember the bay's beaches piled with ice and I definitely can remember the January/February blast of 1971.

    I don't recall that one, but then I was in DaNang Vietnam at that time. Jungle, banana tress and monkeys, rockets, and bullets, but no cold snap. Just don't shut "incoming" and I'm ok.
