It is a very cold 6 degrees here this morning and very windy. They say windchill -15 to -20, the stove is loaded with Oak and house is 71, nice and toasty.
-1 outside, 83 inside... Locked and loaded with Hedge last night and today. First time in two years to dip this low. The Ol' 30 is rolling it all in stride, but one hiccup and it be hard to recover without the Gas heater. But I'll need it to be a less than 10 hour day to keep up.
Thats a hard row of corn to hoe LP, my family has been there and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Thoughts and prayers L.P. Mid teens out, only getting to mid 20's pretty much all week. Standard load of oak and hickory this morning. If the ingredients come together, major snowstorm this Fri-sat..... bring it!
4 Coal and oak 8" of white overnite. Didn't get the 3' they were calling for last week. Weather channel hype! Wind direction looks like its setting us up for a big dumping. We'll see.
Just saw a forecast that said we could get a foot of snow this weekend. 8 degrees outside this morning and looking to get colder this week. Looks like I need to add fill the woodbox to the to do list today.
Was watching the outside thermometer last night for a while during commercials (wife had on a movie made in the year I was born), and the temp dropped down to 0. Came back up to close to 10 before bed, and it was 5 OAT when I got up this morning with 72 in the main house, and was 68 in the bedroom. Very light snow right now. I turned on the DV last night to help out.
The 18" we had last week almost disappeared by Friday nite. Under a foot total snow now. If you watch TWC radar the snow line is following the western NY/PA line. If it shifts to the SE and warms up over 15 we usually get dumped on. We don't get a ton of snow below 15 unless its a nor'easter.
