It's like 3" of soup on top of frozen ground. Had a heck of a time Saturday pulling the loaded trailer down that path. Hoping it freezes up this week..
Yeah not bad at all. Next town to the west over the mountain and back down in the valley. Not sure how he commutes that to work in the winter though..lol.. 4 mile upgrade and a 4 mile downgrade on lousy roads..lol..
Jackpot! Nice score Drivin... Keep us posted with your hauls. Suppose to get cold now so let's see how many loads you can get.
Aiming for at least 4 more. We are due with our first bundle of joy within the next few weeks so that could put a dent in the plans..lol.. I will post pics of every load in this thread though!!
Great score. It's tough to keep em clean in the winter..mud is better then having salt all over the truck..
At least its being used as intended! Many guys "gotta have a big truck" and all that gets hauled in it is groceries and maybe a couple 2x4s. I work in a body shop and you guys wouldn't believe how many nice trucks that come in to get a hairline scratch buffed or tiny door dings removed. Some with barely a scratch in the box! Its a truck for crying out loud!! Use it!
Yeah indeed.. We haven't had more than an inch here so far this year. We had a quick squall Tuesday that got slick but that's it. We don't get much snow here at all especially for being in Pennsylvania.
Might be on to something right there.... Sorta like anti-fouling paint for boat hulls Keep it muddy, soon to be new papa Drvn4wood
Lol so true.. I've done a lot of motor work to mine but if you ask a question about turbo boost or egt's while towing up grades it's crickets in those Facebook groups.. If you ask about turbo boost or egt's with 26" wheels and 40" tires the page lights up..lol.. It's pretty cool what they can do with these trucks but I use and need mine..
Best advice I ever got on a new pickup was to haul a load of horse manure in it and after that I could stop worrying.
I've strategically left the classifieds open with a few pictures of those for sale, boss lady immediately says no and tosses that page into the stove.
