A buddy called me last night and told me about his cousin who has had a bad health this year an has not gotten his wood in. So obviously I told him come pick me and the saws up. I enjoy helping others especially wood burners, they are usually a better class of person. And it still surprises me how many good guys will come our of the wood work to help get wood. I mean if the lp bill needs paid well you don't seem to have to many friends but you need wood on a subzero day with serious wind chill you find friends you never new you had. I hope I never have to ask for help but if I do I am confident my wood pile would fill up fairly fast.
Great start of a "Helping" story. Good on you, bud! Y'all be careful getting that wood, maybe even snap a pic?
Helping friends & neighbors is just how it should be. Helping get wood up has saved him in many different ways. Time, labor, fuel. It all pays off in the end.
That's what great about the guys on the FHC, big hearts, always helping people out..good for you..it will come back to you double...
Always makes a person feel good when you can help someone out . It always comes back to the ones that help.
Great decision! You'll get paid back when you need it! Lets be honest though, who doesn't want an excuse to go play with a saw?
Wow I am exhausted lol. My buddy, his wife and I got 3 full truck loads cut up and too the house and 2 more truck loads on the edge of his field. What a great day to play with the saws. Weather man said we had a high over 7 but it felt a lot warmer than that until the sun started dropping. Sorry didn't get any video or much for photos the cold zapped my phone battery very fast. The Dolmar 6100 was very well liked by the guy who tried it. I also got to play with a dolmar 35 and 420 so it was so worth it for that alone. It was a great day and got to meet some new friends
Good for you Corey. One has to keep working on days like today just to stay warm and it sounds like you did that very well.
I don't mind working in the cold as long as the equipment doesn't give me trouble and my hands stay warm. Lol my 10 year old bought me some hand warmer bags you just put in your glove. Man those worked out really well.
Should have bought a Husky with hand warmers... (even though they cost almost twice what you payed I'm sure) I was torn but liked the option of keeping the hands warm! And again GREAT WORK!
That's what it's all about y'all. Helping out when you can, friends and family. Anybody in need on that note. You never know when you need a hand. Firm believer in carma, seen it too many times!
These kinds of threads are great to read. Turning on the news you hear lots of bad stuff going on but you log onto a forum that treats you like family and you read about good folks helping others. Nice.
