Hello Here is a good fireplace liner install video with steel mesh masonry blocking. I would still like to see Roxul Fire Proof insulation above the blocking plate and an insulated liner. Looked like they insulated it from the top by pouring in a "soupy concoction". I'm assuming that would go all the way down to the top plate. they kind of glossed over the process of filling the space between the liner and the chimney.. Interesting video.. Would have liked to see the process of flattening the liner.. Also, by definition, the area of the resultant oval liner is smaller than the area of the circular liner. Would be interesting to know what the difference was and if they still had the 1/10 area requirement of the fireplace opening. More of an overview than a DIY instructional video.
