I don't even have one of those any more. The boss has a smart phone, I got one of those celly transceivers and dumped roadrunner's linerunner service. My entire land line system is celly now and it is as otl in the smart's category as a pile of cement blocks.

About all I know about plumbing is that the OD of the pipe must be larger than the ID.

Those chrome boxes, i've tinkered with them in the past. They werent so bad except at the time you couldnt print. Just no way to install a driver. Have they fixed this or do they still require you to get a fancy printer with e-print or cloudprint?

Actually, the statement was told to me when I was an apprentice and was TDY to the hydraulics dept. in the company I worked for.

The foreman explained it to me that way (With big grin too)

At work when the prices on the grid are cheap we reverse the direction of a river and refill the upstream reservoir... does that count? It's pretty cool watching a whole river run backwards.

My point exactly. I'd love to see that process.

We put in a sewer system right behind BrianK 's house that does the same thing.
During heavy rains the sewer/storm water is diverted through an 18" pipe and and pushed up into 2 two million gallon concrete tanks and stored till the rains are over. When the waste water plant is back to normal the stored water is then released back into the 18" pipe and sent to the plant and processed at a slower rate.

We live in the mountains and see some long water systems here also. I worked at one water plant that gravity fed water 18 miles, including uphill

Up Portland way they spent big $$$$$$$$$$ to built this huge sewer system thing that's supposed to eliminate storm water from causing raw sewage from entering the Willamette River.

Was a great plan, but the effluent still flows into the river when the big rains come.

Maybe they need one of those "River reversers"

Something about using the 'Cloud' to store my life's history leads me directly to the Big Brother Is Watching You theory, especially in this day. I'd rather not broadcast my personal stuff to who knows who.
I fly radio controlled airplanes (been flying for 60 years) and I just had to register my planes with the FAA. That's all thanks to the idiots flying WalMart/Chinese drones in the flight path of airliners. Now I'm on another database. Link that one to the NRA and my concealed carry permit and the damm CIA will be kicking my door in soon.

I stopped giving my money to the AMA years ago and I'll be dammed if I start giving it to the FAA now. You can find me flying in my back yard far from any damm airport. As far as a CCW, I'm in Arizona so the pistol strapped to my hip is my business only.

    Pretty much

We have all these lovely high tech things now.

Better watch what ya say in the car while you are driving down the road, yup, likely there are listening devices buried in the dash somewhere and there are folks in high places listening.
