The trim is all the way down. It was wud open and throwing pellets in the ashpan so I just ran it all the way down. I'll bump her up to 3.

It'll be hard to gauge any difference it makes, as I got tired of a 58* house.and fired up the Accentra too. An hour later it's 74* in here .......nice but I'm burning through pellets like crazy. Got half a hopper left in the Accentra and probably 30lbs left in the big girl. I'll be making a pellet run here shortly.

Ok I've had it running on 3 and the trim on 3 for a while now and I'm only getting 200* out of the heat exchanger. It would be interesting to know what kind of temps you got with the stock blower. Another thing I was thinking about is that this stove doesn't trip the high temp switch at all. I ran it wide open for 8 hours Saturday and no trip. It has the original controller. I asked the PO because I read about this before I went to pick it up, so since this doesn't have the upgraded controller seems to reason it should be overfiring, no? Somethings definitely not right. It's running 50* degrees cooler then yours and you're moving twice the air across your heat exchanger. Got any ideas? I'm wondering if I need to try another controller?

The 455cfm was added to reduce convection temps due to adding ducting to the stove. Having 200ºF plus floor grates were a bit much for my liking. I have also added a 3 speed motor installed. So I run the 455 at about 40% in low speed which makes the output real close to what the stock blower would create. The 250ºF is about what I get with the current config in low blower speed. and what I pretty much got with the original blower installed. I'm currently getting 140ºf ish with the sets on medium with the blower set the 3rd speed(1500 rpm max).

Hope this wasn't too confusing, But like I said I have got my heap tweaked and modded to all get out to fit my needs(which was actually a furnace that I couldn't afford!!).......

You should be able to tweak the damper with either the mag or by eye to get more heat if needed. But keep on track at getting the flapper squared and adding an oak to it. The outside air your drawing in might be having a cooling effect.

    Keep us posted!!

Will do. We have a mag at work i'll see if I can use, doubtful but worth a shot. Yes I have read a lot of your old posts and have a fairly good idea of your set up. I even contacted the guy you got your blower from (before I installed this) to see if he could get me a 455 cfm blower but no luck. I'm not sure my stove could handle it unless I start getting a lot more heat from somewhere. It would just be pushing warm air. I also had plans of sticking this in my basement. I have to admit I miss the even heat of ductwork. I've been burning pellets for 10 years.

Does the Omega have a switch on the inside of the controller to go from 50,000, 60,000, or 70,000 BTU?

I know a few stoves had the option to up the BTU via a switch. Hopefully Jay gets his PC fixed up and can help with that question?

I don't think the early Omega's got those boards. I'm fairly sure it was just the standard Maxx that got them. Buut if they swapped out the board for some reason the replacements could have the universal board that has programs for all the units.

IIRC the universal board will have a 50-2069 part number stuck on it someplace(usually the really in the midsection of the board).

Well I'm still conscious, well semi maybe. The only numbers on the circut board I could see were DHC-4100-b. There was a big sticker on a part connected to the board and it read C-11383. I think that refers to that particular part.

I'm burning two bags a day on 3-3 and the house is 68 now but its 45 outside so that's why it's warmer obviously.

Thats the same part number I have on my replacement board. Though Its a DHC-4110-D

Pretty sure they used the C-11383 as a reference to the program installed in the chip. IIRC the original board was a DHC-4100-B and also had the C-11383 tag on the relay(blue rectangle on the board). Both the boards I have have a gray connector next to the main chip. The Maxx board had a header with a jumper in the same area. But the tag had a different code. Same goes for the universal board(tag had diffent code than C-11383).

I'm pretty sure you have an original equipment board, with the correct program.

Ok thanks, I'll scratch that off the old troubleshooting list. I was unable to bring the mag gauge home to use, so I'll check around some local HVAC dealers and see if I can buy one. I thought I'd trying eyeballing the flame while adjusting the exhaust plate but it's seized up. I'll have to wait until I shut it down to see what's going on with that. Probably be Saturday. That will be a full weeks burning so I want to take her apart and.see what kind of build up a week will bring.
