Wow pretty good storm just went through. Lightning, thunder and hail. Dogs are hating it.

Ugh. Please put that Map right back away, Larry. :picard:

Today was a frenzied, rain-drenched, shoveling session outside, before work, to clear off the rest of the driveway, the front walkway, and clean out the front gutters, while temps. were above freezing. It's 48F now, but temps will be crashing back down towards freezing by the time I get out of work, so I'm glad it's done.

That 3" of water-logged snow was like shoveling concrete, though.

I am so overdue for a Beer. :picard:

Have a great evening all !

Looking at that line of yellow - heading right for us in southern NH. Maybe the green mountains will break it up. Had enough precipitation for the day.

Yesterday was 41 and raining, now it is 16. We had a winter storm warning last night for 'the worst snowfall yet this season'. We got maybe 2 inches. It stayed above freezing longer than they thought it would. That's cool. Never had to shovel rain.

Now the weather folks are talking about lake effect snow tomorrow night and Tuesday, and 'some locations could see up to a foot of new snow'. Time will tell.

Too cold out to do much of anything, so I'm sitting on the couch, drinking beer and watching the snow blow around.

Sadly, I have; not as bad as extremely wet snow, but hard to keep in the shovel.

Epic CL ad (no,it isn't sad - just funny and imaginative)

And, for those adverse to clicking on links (although the picture included gives some clue as to where this object of desire currently resides), or at least for posterities sake, the ad reads:

    Feast Your Eyes on This:
Ay - today I offer a free tv with the colors of sunrise and sunset to amaze you. There is no greater free 26" color tv to be found in the land. It will amaze adults, children, and gamers alike. Reply not if you question it's existence or availability. For if you see this statement, it is true and available to the the first respondent to impress with a desire to secure the possession of such a noble, talking, colorful, free box of electronics.

I've had to squeegee rain a lot around here. When I first bought the house, the back patio, driveway apron and darn near everything else that was concrete flatwork sloped towards the house. Over time, that all got ripped up and replaced, along with other drainage improvements. No more having to run outside in the middle of the night with a floor squeegee to push water away from the house/garage/whatever.
