    That's a nice saw you have there. Not Stihls best work but they are good saws. Lots of sentimental value wrapped up in there i bet. going to restore it? Make it a runner and use it?

    I'll make it a runner and use it. My grandpa would've appreciated that. He was a hard working guy. He was German, came directly to the US when he was 16, then made his own $ here through hard work as a plasterer ( and running booze for the Chicago mobsters during prohibition). He then brought his entire family here from Germany.

    Yeah, this saw has a ton of sentimental value to me. It's pretty much the last notable possession I have from him.

    It's in pretty good shape, not warranting a full resto.

    That's a cool story! I always imagined chainsaws being happiest making wood into chips and rounds. Good on ya for keeping it a runner!
