NICE speeds Smokey, you did a great job upgrading there, fully 10x faster than the DSL here. (Latency & Jitter look very good/excellent, for streaming video, with QoS, over wireless.)

The whole attempt-to-repair is as much for the Boss vs. anything else - she (we) really like this washer, and it was a multi-day store marathon to find this one some 10 years ago.. But she knows & agrees, we're not spending more than $125 in parts to attempt to rehab, anything more just isn't cost effective vs. moving onto a new unit. ( That still gives me some wiggle room, in case I need to replace the Thrust bearing on the lower transmission assembly, or the motor drive pulley. Those parts are bookmarked / ready to be ordered, if needed)

    * One thing I do need to do is snake the washer drain line back to the Stack, to make sure there isn't any lint or slime plug restricting water flow in the P-trap or at the stack outlet (given the condition of the hoses & Drain Pump), that's tomorrow's job.

That's great news ivanhoe - Congrats on the repair!

Your son did great, that's a nice looking insert there Snowy! , Good luck w/ the CL sale, that insert deserves a good home.

It's gotten much colder here, stove is running 1.6 / 1.8 lbs / hr. (settings 3 and 4) - 1.8 lb/hr is the (Max.) LG Granules/CF Pacific can run in the Francesca here w/o clogging the burn pot quickly, but so far, so good - back to running 16-18 hrs. / shutting down / cleaning / rinse, lather, repeat.

Off to the Dollar Store to pickup some "inexpensive" cleaning tools & supplies, then off to work.

Have a great day all !

No pressure regulator on you water inlet line??

As for the gaskets and hard water, I have VERY hard water here (well). I run white vinegar w/o any clothes on small load setting every 2-3 months....so far, so good. Kinda like cleaning the coffee pot w/ vinegar. There is also a cleaner you can buy at the BB or grocery store called "Affresh". Recommended by Whirlpool to be used once every 30 or so washes.

Seems like real good upload for a phone. The speeds I posted above are also wireless from my desktop. I could get even better speed, but would have to run an ethernet cable through a wall, etc. Too much of a PITA.

Have you checked out the units that send wireless through your home electrical wiring? I bought one, a low end unit, and it works great. I get around 30 in a room where the wireless signal drops to about the high terms or so and was choppy at times

Here is the LTE from ATT speeds on my phone:

Don't have to use HE soap - I haven't and I've been thru 3 front loaders (the last one I left with the Ex and got a new one for myself). Just have to use very little regular detergent. A lot cheaper that way. Didn't know about the water pressure thing though and thankfully have never had that problem.

Not sure about the details exactly but my router and the room that I have the "receiver" are on different circuit breakers.
