How many splits from a 40" round?

    quick math excursion told me around 80 splits that average 4 inches square. A quick count of your picture tells me about the same thing.

    That's a lot of splits, I processed a pin oak about that size and got 76 splits out of a round. Pain to move them around but once quartered they aren't too bad

    Wowsa, that's unreal. Those splits should dry pretty quick (for oak) with the shapes you made 'em. Good job, GrJfer.
