Just shows how far our youth have lost touch with anything other than their phones and social media. Finest man I have ever know was an old gentleman farmer who stuck with his horses after WWII and worked his 100 acre farm. He mentored me in a great way that is still clearly ingrained and a part of me. He fought in WWI and then was never more than 30 miles from his farm. I was lucky to have known him and learn from his experiences. If it were not for the farmers where would the kids go to eat after the big game?

Well, zero hour is almost upon me! Have about 30 of her side family members and children tearing up the house form all three levels so I'm gonna shut down this computer and dis-connect it to keep one of the little monsters off it.

I had a few minutes to jump on and take a look see. My daughter and new grandson are coming over for dinner, looking forward to some Grampie time. Linguine with chicken in white sauce is on tap, and of course I went to the craft beer store earlier and picked out 6 to bring home, 3 are down already. Working on a winter ale by the Blue Point Brewers in Long Island. Cheers FHC buds!

Unfortunately there's a whole generation that's lost to this. Gen y people don't do anything off the phone or computer. There may be a very very small percentage of Gen y kids that understand anything that is manual, or requires physical intervention.

If this is true it shows how poor their parents were in showing them how to work with their hands.

Wheww! Spent the last 3.5 hours assembling a rolling kitchen cart chingus for the wife. Never seen so many screws and dowels and threaded plugs and.... she gets to assemble the next one.
Off to the neighbors for a canyon get together. We'll take the 6 x 6 'cause that's how we roll. :loco:

No worries these kids will stay warm with their woodstove apps then cut wood with their chainsaw apps and finally stack that wood with their stacking app 2.0..

    Thirsty buggers. Huh?

Gas is cheap now, but it wasn't a number of years ago and that is what killed them off.

You seem to put them to good use, not like my friend that had one.

The SRW GMC gets worse MPG then the DRW Chevy and the GMC has been programmed with a hand held programmer.

However... The Chevy did get stuck in the yard today, and that my friend was a good time.
