    Its snow! :p

Sounds like in a few days it will be all brown again!! Fine by me. The skiers in the area are all in a tizzy trying to get to the slops before it melts!! :wacky:

So expectations of a 6'4 passenger fitting somewhere within and not on the roof are????

Yeah, I dont know of anyone that would be sad to see this stuff gone-but its probably sticking around here to some extent. Talk about cutting it close on moving the pellets on Monday

I've driven some "Smart" cars at work, and here's my observations: Yes, the body will absorb a lot of energy in a crash.....more than you'd think. Unfortunately, the transmission is very funky & not very smooth......just weird (I'm guessing some sort of CVT). The engine requires premium fuel. And finally, since they're so light, and have a small engine, you'd think you'd get really great gas mileage.......they don't.

I'd be curious to sit in a Smart car just to see what they're like. I'm 6'4, so leg and headroom can be challenging. They're not very common around here, but I do see them from time to time. Its an interesting concept, but I don't think I'd want to drive one on a highway, especially interstate 94 between Chicago and Detroit, AKA the 'big rig autobahn'.

Just like will711, I'm a fan of my Cruze. Great gas mileage, decent performance, and comfortable. Admittedly, it's a 3 seat vehicle when I drive it as you're not putting anything but a car seat or groceries behind the driver when I have the seat all the way back, but it's perfect for getting my azz to and from work cheaply.

I remember driving on the Autobahn in my '56 VW bug and even the honey bees were passing me. I saw enough bad accidents between eco type cars and luxury cars, the eco cars lost the battle. I'm not sure I would want to have a Harry Chapin moment either. I just tooled through the Cruze website, so many options to select. Pick one option and cha ching, if you want that option add another $2K. I'll stop by a dealer and check one out. I really want something even more efficient, that means cost effective and fuel efficient.

Sometime around 2:30AM we had a very loud crash on our house, right behind our bed.o_O It wasn't Ole Saint Nic, the ice on the roof came down with much of it flipping back onto or against the house. I ran out and check the end of the pellet exhaust, but all was well. That is except for the crazy should of the wind shaking all the trees of their ice coatings. The constant dropping of the ice was a weird sound, enough to spook the dogs. They couldn't figure out if they were going to go check it out or run back into the house.

I've owned my Cruze for 6 months now , I really like it , I commute 90 miles round trip , 40 + mpg is Great almost double what I get with my Tacoma I got the Eco with 6 speed trans , it's a blast to drive  I picked mine up certified pre owned , so I didn't break the bank . Only 2 options I wish it had were fog lights and power seats .

A sad day here. Last week we decided to put Scooter, our chitzu down. He is 22 and over the past few months has plumb ran out of steam. He has an appointment with the doggie doctor at 9:30 am and I am sitting here feeling very very bad.

About two months ago he had another stroke and has not been able to make any headway toward recovery. No longer mobile and is obviously in great discomfort. We probably should have let him go when this last stroke occurred but ...........

He is currently on my lap eating his morning chocolate, and will have a short rib for breakfast.

Godspeed good friend, you will be missed.

I lost my buddy last spring, it's a saddening moment for sure. A big fluffy marshmallow of eleven years. Great Pyrenees rarely live more than eight years. My heart goes out for you Spartan!

We keep telling ourselves 22 years is a long life and that it was a good life. He traveled the country with us, was always by our side, and was simply our buddy. First the young fella, later the old buddy. Always a good friend.

I dug his resting place yesterday and he will lay next to his long time friends Trixie our Australian Shepherd and Smokey and Jacob the cats. Ordered his little plaque last night.

I've had mine almost three years. I got the Eco package with 6 speed manual. The only options that were possible on that trim level was rubber floor mats, navigation and back up camera. I'm sure that has changed now. Back then you could go LS, Eco, LT or RS. Not sure if they changed that for 2016 or not.

I was going to buy used/certified, but the dealer I bought from wanted to move the last manual transmission car off their lot, so they made a heck of a deal that I couldn't pass up.

I bought a new Milwaukee drill and Impact driver. With my arthritis, this was perfect for me. Only the 12 V model. Light weight but plenty of power for everything I want. I have the larger ones from Craftsman but these are superior. They hold their charge for what seems like forever. I like the light that shines on what I and trying to do.

Got to love that a motivated seller  I too looked at new , but I couldn't find a manual trans in a 50 mile radius that had all the bells and whistles that I wanted , and the ones I did find were more than I wanted to spend close to $20 k out the door . I got real lucky and found this one only had 15k miles got all the warranties and saved big $$$

Actually you would be very surprised at the room inside.

My Son in law is 6'5" and can comfortably drive "Wee car"

The exterior size will fool you big time.

I'm 6 foot and don't even put the seat all the way back.

    These are amazing little rigs.

Take the time to get in one if you get the chance, or make the time :D

I had seen them running around and laughed at the "Cute Widdle Cars"

"GO KART WITH A ROOF" I said.

Then one day a client of mine came by driving one, and I asked him if we could go for a ride.
He let me drive it, Ahhhhh ooooops, a week later we had one.

We bought a lease return 2011 model (Base model) that was cheap, just in case the "cuteness" wore off I did not want to be saddled with a new one and a payment.

We decided to keep it for a year to give it a good trial to be sure we were not just all wound up with the "Oh it's cute"

A year went by and we still love the "Widdle Car" so we contacted the dealer and they had a 2013 deluxe model (Passion coupe) with 13K miles come in off a lease.

This one was in their certified program and came with full warranty and was as close to new as you could get.

We have 17 K on it now and love it just the same as when we first test drove the 2011

We live 5 miles from town (Very hilly run) and the short hops to and from the store and such see low 30's mpg and highway running easily gets into the mid to upper 40's and a long trip will top 50 mpg

During the summer heat with the AC running the mpg has dipped to 29 a couple times in city traffic and up and down the hill to town.

All in all we are very happy with the Smart

Our little "Fur Children" are so dear to us, and sadly leave us far too soon.

We had a lovely cat that walked in the front door one day and never left us.
She was with us 23 years (ancient for a cat)

The other half was diagnosed with severe allergies to cats back in the late 90's and when the kitty left us we just went on without fur children.

About two years ago I discovered the Sphynx breed of cat that is supposed to be as close to hypoallergenic as you can get.

We visited a cattery and after much thought and lamenting, we decided to adopt a lovely little female kitty.

She had been part of their breeding program and had given 2 litters of great little kittens and was being retired.

She was about 2 yo when we got her.

    An absolutely marvelous creature.

She wants to be doing whatever we are doing, eating with us, sitting in a lap somewhere watching TV or snuggled under the covers in the bed.

No allergy issues at all, even with the close contact in the bed.

The Sphynx is generally a hairless cat but our little girl has a down like fuzz thats about 1/2" long and smooth as silk (no shedding to speak of)

They love a coat in the cool weather and will hog anyplace that is warm.

Dang, 75 mile range for the electric? Civilization is a 50 mile round trip. The Canadians drive these over to shop here, at least they did before the dollar value changed. I'll see if I can impose on one of them.

Somehow I missed this whole page. I had checked their web site this AM and designed the same vehicle. Nice color!
