We were lucky here as well Chv. It was just warm enough yesterday that we had rain almost all day. Just north of us by a couple hours Rottiman got it in snow. The cold is here now though and looks like we will get 5-8 overnight.

"We" have had that happen here before Stinny. And once, no twice, over the last 8 years or so I came out to the garage in the morning to realize that BOTH doors were open all night. Ohhhhh, THAT'S why the Wood Gun boiler was completely empty and the oil boiler was running. Turns out when you come in with your vehicle and then walk into the house you have to hit the right button to close the door you came in! If you don't ............:emb: Wife's fault.:rofl:  Okay, once was hers, and once was mine.

Ha, well I feel a little better Gas... it's kinda surprised me here I gotta say. I walk around checking doors before we go to bed usually and these last few crazy days here, I didn't do that. I just stood in the hall looking at that door shaking my head. How the h*ll does that stuff happen......

Breakfast going down while still sitting in my comfy chair.

    Smoothie:

    Approximately

    1 cup of frozen blueberries
    1 cup of whole milk
    1 whole banana
1-1/2 cups of Vanilla Oikos Greek yogurt

All into nutri-bullet and spun for 45 seconds. Delicious.

My "old" walk around checking doors did not include opening door to garage and checking garage doors. My "NEW" walk around does! They be big doors to leave open all night when it's 20 degrees out and the thermostat in there is set at 45. :faint:

Chili out there at 18 degrees now.

Looking at the temperatures for this week these two piles should keep us warm for a while.

This way we can concentrate on snow clean up and other things and not have to bring wood in through the snow.

Just back from a Jeep ride to fill up both 6 gal gas cans. When I get in the Jeep now I always pause... c'mon baby... and it starts every time... so far. Crazy that it does with so little use... only 300 miles a year.
What a dif a day makes now... cold, cold, cold... :shiver:

Still not freezing here but just hovering above. No rain this morning so Campinspecter is out to wash the car. Our highways here are sanded and brined so it creates a real mucky mess. I still have a week off work so I might be able to get something done in the sewing room this week.

Stinny Mom got home yesterday to the cat door being destroyed so there was no flap on the door. Who knows how long it was open with the thermostat on the wall opposite to the door? Fortunately for her, there are no squirrels, skunks or anything else on the island who would love a nice warm place to live - just other cats.

I got a little nervous of the size of that fire pile so I grabbed a couple of the long trees and pulled a half apart to make it smaller. That is a little better.
