I would check back in with the pawn shop next week. If the saw is still there, ask them what happened with all those other callers?
For $700 it would have to be brand newish. At that price I'd sell mine and buy 3 more in a box of parts.
Well, he wouldnt budge much off it. But must have sold it yesterday... Only the 180 is back on craigslist.... So I'm onto the search.... And learning a lot through you guys...
Put that 362 up and keep the 034 for the medium stuff and get a 044/440/46 or maybe even a bigger saw.
A 372 with 20" bar in stock form is a breast!!Should handle most any firewood duty easy. Not as fun as a 99 CC but will literally cut circles around a farm boss and spank an 036 stocker.
I'm not sure if that saw is from last August. Wasn't that about the time the 461 was coming out? Not that it wasn't clean either way. I watch enough Pawn Stars to think that they probably didn't loan the guy anywhere near it's value, so they're going to make a good margin either way...which is the business, so be it.
Trick to getting a good deal is know exactly what you want and be willing to walk away until you get it. You did fine...no regrets
Haha I just caught this!!! If y'all didn't Catch this you read it as I meant to write it. Should be beast but its so funny I had to leave it!!
I know where your coming from.... But I'm already looking at selling my 290. To help offset my next one. Have some more questions and thoughts that I need to figure out.
I was thinking about selling my 290 also. But, I decided that it's a saw I can have for life at what it's worth resale value. Always runs and starts easily and does have usefulness
Call me crazy, but I love my 290. It was my first saw, I bought it new. A big fat mm, no limit tune, 3/8 chain, 18" bar makes it decent. It can certainly hang with bigger saws if they are stock. A new 362 might change my mind, but my 290 is really a runner, and it doesn't even say farm boss on it anymore.
Yep, after the muffler mod, it really woke. But if I can get this other saw that I found yesterday afternoon, I might not try selling it. I'll know tonight after talking to him. And the best thing is it's a stihl, still kinda of partial to them. Kinda of excited if the deal goes through.
