I bought half a ton at the same sale. I was the only one there about an hour after daffonce was there.
Orfords come 1.3 per pallet. I think they moved a good amount of them. I can count 2.5 tons on this forum alone and we are a small group, and mostly already hoarders probably filled to the brim already. I think some here may have a problem
Might? Your stash list almost 9 tons and you just picked up another half ton. You sir need an intervention.
Here's what I picked up today (the Orfords, upper right). Note there's a bag missing, it's already staged and ready to go in the hopper. Me, problem? No way. But...the wife says otherwise...
Was that you in front of me this morning? I was in the Subaru Forester, eventually pulled up on your right side if so. There about 8:20AM or so. There was a guy in front of us getting a pallet pushed into the back of an HVAC van? Picked up 25 bags of Orford Softwoods (we only loaded 24 bags though, the lot guy had the wrong count. Ah well). Had it been evening we could have signaled the Space Station with our headlights. I too was surprised at the lack of activity, I thought there would certainly be a wait for service. Had a friend visiting from Venezuela with me to assist. On the way back to Worcester we stopped at Purgatory. Confused the hell out of him. Seems like rocks don't do that where he comes from.
That was me. Truck sat a little loe with a ton in it. Guess thats why it is a half ton. Made the 3 mile trip safely with no po po problems.
Where is the rest of the stash. I will load a bag tonight. Clean the stove tomorrow and see what i think of them.
Welcome woma. Always nice to meet a local fellow hoarder. Think I was just a couple in front of you in line. Interested to hear what you think of the orfords. It's a brand I would not have bought, if it hadn't been for the sale. Can't wait to see how they burn.
Welcome Woma! Dang, wish they were closer to me, they had a bunch of stuff I've never had a chance at. If I still had the Patriot (and it ran), I would probably have taken the trip. But, with the Explorer, getting 16 mpg, not really feasible.
