Leaded firewood

    Christmas Day we went shooting and leaned the target up against a small stack of rounds I had sitting there. Then today I went and split that stuff up. Found some lead in a few of the splits. I'm sure there's more that is buried in the splits that I didn't see. I don't think this will add any btu's to the firewood though :D

    It's bad enough you killed that tree and now your shooting it. I'm surprised the tree huggers haven't tracked you down yet! Lol. I wish I could shoot in my yard. The city would have a fit if I did.

    swags why on earth can't you just use a hatchet to split kindling like everybody else?:picard::whistle:

    Is that Ash? Howe far did it penetrate. I did the same thing but could not dig deep enough to find the lead. Guess I'll have to split it.

    Yes it's ash, got about 6-8". The only problem is the rounds didn't leave much of an entry mark. So I couldn't really look for them, just happened to find a few.
