looking at both of these saws, i see that the main handle is only held on by one screw at the top on the PTO side of the saw on the J/D, and two screws on the 4500, been checking IPL's and can't tell if, on all of this series of saws, if the handles will interchange between all of them, i need to replace the handle on the one i just picked up from Andy.........was hope'n you might know.......
the 4600 that i just went though has the one piece ignition, the 4600 i just got from Andy has the two piece.......
though i haven't posted a pic of the right side of the saw i started this thread with, it's mounts are different from the other two we've just been talking about.........
here's a pic of the right side of the saw i just went through, this saw must have been very near the end of the orange color series before the change over to gray..........
This thing followed me home from Andys as well, not sure if I'll keep it or not, he let me take it home no charge until i decide if i want it, seams like a nice little trail saw, shiny 300s, anyone have one to share some info about these saws?.......
Did you see that aftermarket piston 4600 4500 on ebay. 4500 is nothing like that. Cant be right pic, I hope for buyers any way.
yeah, i did see it, matter of fact i put it in my watch list, was going to ask the sellers if it might be just a random pic, a windowless piston isn't going to work in these saws.........
man...thanks for noticing!........been a long year with many new projects........kinda looks like yours does most of the time right at the moment!!..........
Still looks like most parts are still available at partstree, it does need a few small items, I was able to get it running yesterday, I think I'll try calling Monday morning to see if the parts are or are not available......
