I got all to totes over to the property and was able to get 6 of them filled before it got dark on me. Got a bunch more to go and from the looks of it I'll have a number of them left for when I get more firewood cut over there. The maple I have there and split should be another 3-4 totes then on to the locust rounds and oak logs.
That's looking real gooder, swags Great return on your effort, and an excellent and easily managed system for years of service! Awesome, man!
Looks good Wish I'd gotten some of those when the gas boom was rocking around here and they were trying to give things like that away!
Kinda makes ya feel like don't it? Our shop uses about one every 2-3 weeks.... Usually gone before I can get one
I love this! I've got 20 of them now and this sure makes stacking easier, tarps should be good too since I can bungee them down to the totes. I'll do that until I get my carport moved over there
I'd like to get a bunch of these if you can get forks under them. Great for air flow. Trouble is they sell for more than I want to spend on them. How is it to get the plastic part out? Do you just cut the top cross braces of metal and slide it out? Easy or PITA?
I also have 16 of these... I stack the wood in them after I cut out a few bars for access.. Can get almost 1/2 cord if stacked is rounded up. They are great, have cut down on how many times I handle the wood alot. I am still looking for more... I can get 18 at a time...just have to go 150 miles away to get a decent price. I have the 330 gallon ones, paid $22 each. The inner plastic part slides right out often you unbolt the 2 upper tubes. Lay on side and pull it out.
$22, that's a decent price Nitrodave . Usually they are asking at least $50 around here if you can find them.
They are usually in the $50-100 range here too. I got lucky on the $22 price... But bought 16 at that time. Best price I have found lately has been $40 but you must buy 10 min. I have not called to try and beat them up on price... Maybe someone wants to split a load.
Here are my some of my little soldiers in seasoning mode..... A few cuts with the sawzall... And PRESTO.... An easy way to be able to load and unload them. Did not affect the strength of the cages at all.
