Had my first overnight run in the Revolution last night, and looks like I have some adjusting to do. It was in the mid 20's here, with a stiff breeze, so wind chill was down around 10-15 degrees. I know some of you laugh at the idea of windchills, but out here on the prairie of NW OH where it's flat as a pancake and with no other houses to block the wind, wind chill readings matter. Had the Revolution set on program #3, heat level 1 (of 5), and just about got roasted out of the house. It was 72 when I woke up, so nice and toasty, but I also roasted an entire bag of pellets in less than 10 hours. Guess I'm gonna have to drop back to the program #1 until the cold sets in. Nice to know I've got plenty of BTUs to work with though.

This morning is the first burn in a week. Home heating oil has dropped back to the 1.70 range again and the warmer temps in upper 40's/lower 50's means no stove. 30 degrees and a light dusting of "you know what" this am and some wind means time to fire it up and warm the basement.

Christmas Eve day will likely break records around here and may be over 60 degrees

We did get a s**w squall early yesterday morning. All gone by early AM except for some that was in the shady area's. About all we'll get for a white xmas this year I assume.

Learned January 24th was the longest ever before its s**wed. Might have a chance to break that???

Gonna be chilly tonight so the stove will be chuggin.

The dusting must have been a squall that caused road issues in the middle of the night. It looks like traces of salt was used on some roads around here
