There are several bulk pellet users in Maine. Many municipalities, and schools, and there's one business that uses 10,000 tons per year. They are still saving money over oil. These pellet burners are still not large enough to use industrial grade pellets. The business mentioned last for example uses a European design which requires an I2 (European standard) particle size distribution to operate efficiently. There is a savings to burning pellets in bulk, but it does require an investment and some work to maintain.
Maybe a little movement in S New England. Wouldn't be a bad price for here on the LaCrete. Blazers still too high.
Prices are definitely moving. Place closest to me put pellets out $30 cheaper than they were a month or so ago.
I just saw another local special. $4 for a bag of softies this saturday. They currently have la crete spruce pointe and platinum that seem to fit this description. I might drive by at 8 to see if i can get half a ton.
I would be camping out like the idiots o I might be camping out like the idiots on Black Friday for a shot at some softies!!
Damm, id be there if it was closer ! That $105 a ton cheaper than local on Lacrete , $95 cheaper on Spruce, and $80 on the platinum's
There must be a pretty good Mark up on these pellets normally if they can get away with selling them for $200 a ton.
I knew about it and kept my mouth shut. Now all of us buzzards will be fighting amongst ourselves lol
DOing the math, 1:45 each way, 200 miles round trip, I can move 2 tons a trip . Only problem, I work all day Saturday
